TRX SUSPENSION TRAINING

Learn the basics of TRX® Suspension Training AND how to teach others in an individual or group fitness environment. You will have a TRX® workout in your back pocket ready to teach and be able to create your own classes to suit your teaching style. If you’re ready to offer your clients twice the workout in half the time AND the freshest new method in fitness, this course is for you.

This 1-day practical hands-on course includes:

  • Set up and use the TRX® Suspension Trainer
  • Adjust exercises for every fitness level
  • Teach a range of both TRX® strength and flexibility exercises
  • Lead a TRX® Group Class in 2 different formats
  • Cue clients in a group class
  • Design group TRX® workouts to fit your own style

KETTLEBELL WORKSHOP

Kettlebell is a great addition to your Pilates or Personal Training repertoire. This 8-hour workshop is geared towards Pilates and Personal Trainers who have had limited experience with this new exciting mode of training. Course will cover the following topics:

  • Brief History of Kettlebells
  • Safety
  • Equipment choices
  • Biomechanics of Kettlebells
  • Teaching, Cueing and Correcting Techniques
  • Foundation Exercises
  • Initial Program Design and Class Structure

Course will be very practical in nature, dress to work out.

PERSONAL TRAINING BASICS

A 16 -hour practical course for those looking for the basic foundation to become a certified personal trainer. We strongly recommend taking the anatomy course first if you have not had formal anatomy education. Course covers the following topics:

  • Client Interviews Goal Setting, Health Screening
  • Nutrition Basics
  • Initial Program Design and Exercise Analysis
  • Flexibility, Stretching, Circuit and Interval Formats
  • Core Conditioning, SAID principles
  • Applied Kinesiology to Lower and Upper body Exercises
  • Cardiovascular Training
  • Legal Issues
  • Medical Issues and Injuries

FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY

16 hours of functional anatomy from a fitness foundation perspective, this is a great course to learn the basics or review for an exam. With the use of charts and skeletons, this workshop will review basic biomechanics and anatomical terms as well as skeletal and muscular anatomy. Simple and complex exercises will be examined noting levers, resistant forces from gravity or springs and muscular action.
