Path to Pilates

The SweatShop is a STOTT PILATES® Licensed Training Center, one of 53 in the world. As a fully equipped Pilates facility, the SweatShop offers more options for Pilates workouts than any other facility in the Midwest. SweatShop staff members are fully certified, trained, and experienced STOTT PILATES® instructors.

So What is Pilates?

STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary approach to the original teaching of Joseph Pilates. Pilates is the optimal way to achieve strength, flexibility, and proper body alignment. STOTT PILATES® method comprises more than 500 exercises performed as a mat-based workout or using special equipment. The central concept of STOTT PILATES® is strengthening the core of the body – deep abdominals, lower back, and muscles around the spine.

How to Get Started!

There are several paths to learning Pilates. Private & Semi-private Sessions, Reformer and Mat. The SweatShop options are designed to meet your individual goals, schedule, and budget.

  • 15% off 5 session packages: first-time clients receive 15% off 5 session package.
  • Beginning Mat Pilates Program: come 3 times per week for 6 weeks and learn all the essential Mat exercises and techniques; you can prepare to take experienced Mat classes. Requires pre-registration; minimum 6 persons. $245, member price is $215.
  • Intern Package: work with a Pilates intern instructor for 10 private sessions (not for those with injuries).

More Than Classes

The SweatShop offers a complete line of STOTT PILATES® videos and products to help you get the most out of your Pilates workouts. Once you’ve learned the Pilates basics, a video workout can substitute for a Mat class, and a flex band, BOSU, or stability ball can enhance your current Pilates routine.
